Karndean’s LooseLay Longboard offers 59″ x 10″ (1500mm x 250mm) planks. This LVP has a heavy duty 20mil wear layerand an overall thickness of 4.5mm. There are no beveled edges so the final product has a smooth, easy to maintain finish. Vanilla Oak simulates a traditional European Oak. It has soft and subtle features and grain structure. The neutral color and delicate variation make it easy to style and decorate around.

Concrete Subfloor Preparation For Commercial LVP

Our crew began by ripping up the existing classroom flooring which was a vinyl composition tile (VCT). These rip-ups can range from very easy to very difficult. We also patched any uneven areas of the concrete with two coats of patch to prepare for this vinyl plank installation. The 1st coat was Mapei Plani Patch with Acrylic additive and the 2nd coat was done with Ardex feather finish. Once the concrete subfloor was clean and smooth we began to layout the pattern, spread the glue, and install the floor.

The herringbone pattern is one of the most popular ways to lay an LVP or hardwood floor. The problem is, not all LVP or wood products  can be installed in this manner. Each product must specifically be designed so that it can be installed in this pattern.
